Requesting Tile Samples from H&E Smith
If you are an architect or specifier working on a project and you are looking to identify the most suitable tiles for your requirements, we offer an online free tile sample request service. Browse our tile ranges, find tiles that catch your eye and add them to your sample request basket. If you fill in your company, project and delivery details we will send out up to ten individual cut sample tiles FREE of charge. Please read ‘Sample Request Policy‘ below to review sample shipping charges.
By getting a feel for the style, colour and texture of particular tiles it can often help inform a design decision.
Either order your single samples via this website or drop an email to info@hesmithtiles.com to let us know what we can help you with. If you wish to purchase full size samples instead, please email your requirements.
If you are an architect or designer based in America, you can order samples via Material Bank and receive them the next day. (Head to the H&E Smith Inc brand page)

Our current policy regarding sample requests is as follows: H&E Smith sample tiles are shipped from the UK. Most samples for Interior Designers, Architects and Specifiers located in the USA are free, however we do charge for shipping with the exception of the following:
H&E Smith Inc. will cover the cost of the first shipment of samples up to a weight limit of 10kg.
We advise you to be as specific as you can with regard to what you are looking for, to make the most of your sample request. Remember we can offer a bespoke service, so if you want us to match to a specific colour or texture (e.g. Matt or Gloss), please let us know.
There may be a development charge but more often than not there won’t be, we will advise accordingly.
After the first batch of free samples are sent out for a project, we may request payment for shipping for any further sample requests. The shipping rates for parcels vary between $40 for a 1 kg parcel and $100 for a 10kg parcel. These rates are based on what we are currently quoted and we will advise of costs before dispatch.
Thereafter with regard to shipping your confirmed order from the UK to the US, we offer a door to door service and quote for shipping, however if you prefer to organise your own shipping, we are happy for you to arrange this. For more information on the shipping of final orders, click here.
